GENERAL
• Follow the basic ToS of the Proboards. I realize that maybe only one person on this entire forum has read them through all the way, but use common sense, PLEASE.
☣ Don't swear more than needed. Sure, people have foul mouths, and that's just fine, but don't go crazy with the language.
• When in doubt, drop a question at the Help Desk. However, not every small problem needs an admin's approval. Please use your best judgment.
• There is a section for questions, please use it, don't post them in random locations. You can find the location here.
• Put forum games and spam in the SPAM thread. General chat is for more "serious" threads.
• Always good to know you're actually reading these. Remember this word: Awesome.
• Keep your avatar images PG! Hugs and kisses are all right; no nudity or highly implied sexual content of ANY kind.
☣ Don't ask to be a mod. That's just annoying. If a thread is set up asking for help, then feel free to apply, but don't PM an admin saying, 'I've been here for <time period> and I want to be a mod.' It'll will be ignored, but we'll give you props for trying.
ROLEPLAYING
☣ No God-modding. God-mod and the admins will eat you with their bread.
☣ No killing another person's character. Unless you have permission, and once a character is dead, they are dead. No vampires or weird resurrection stuff.
★ Grammar is your friend. Please, put some effort into your grammar and spelling. People aren't going to be nagged over every little comma and typo, but if the same mistakes are seen again and again, someone will probably say something. Exclamation points are used in dialogue only, not normal sentences. Ellipsis are not to be overused; no one wants to see a post full of "...". They are meant to add drama, but get annoying if seen all over.
• Don't suddenly change your character's personality unless something has happened to do so. If you make them somewhat dark, don't turn them into someone slap-happy. Sure, they might meet someone who changes them, that's fine. Go for it. Totally awesome. But don't go bi-polar. Unless... they are bi-polar.
• You are welcome to send your character wherever your please, as long as it's on the world map. Magic users are not limited to the magic locations, and non-magic users are not limited to the non-magic locations. Just make sure they have a reason for being where they are.
• Having fun? Awesome! Keep it up. Here is number two: Pancakes.
• If you're leaving for vacation, please drop a line in the Hiatus thread. You don't have to explain, just give us an ETA for when you get back.
• This is a PG-13 forum by default. Threads with R-rated content are to be marked "NSFW".
• If two members have their characters get into a romance, please PM an admin and let them know. There is a list for characters who are paired together just so people know who is with who to avoid fights and the like. Nothing ruins a forum faster than shipping wars or stupid things like that.
SIGNING UP
• When you sign up for a character please use the template
• If you wanna use an anime character from a specific series for your appearance picture, then power to you. However, please check the Face-claim list to make sure they aren't already used.
• You can only have one race. Trevian (magic and tech users) or Saverian (non-natural magic users.) No half-bloods, please. Just to keep it simple. If you're confused about these races, please check the race link in the drop-bar.
• Obviously, we can't have more Trevians than Saverians or vis-versa, so pay attention to the list under the updates telling how many of each race are open.
• Trevians, don't go crazy with the magic. Just because you have it naturally doesn't give you god-modding rights. And Saverians, all the stones are the same. Whatever level of magic you get is chance, so pick one you want and stick with it. No changing until you get a new stone.
• Welcome to the end of the rules. You did nicely. Here is the final key for the lock: Chicks.[/blockquote]

I've re-used these rules sooo many times now. But hey, they work. Woo~
